Hi there. I'm Britney.
Meet the Photographer
Ready to submit an inquiry? Give me a call/text at 401-252-6137 and let's talk.
I've had a camera in my hand since i was single-digits old, back when cameras needed aa batteries.
I was obsessed with documenting the things I saw around me: my dog, my family, my teammates and friends. I have a whole album of me and my high school bestie making brownies together in my grandfather's kitchen. And you know what? I love those photos. They're so... raw.
In 2015, I commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Navy and shortly after that I reported to the public affairs office in Pearl Harbor. After becoming formally trained for photojournalism in the Navy, my passion for digital photography became insatiable. I even picked up underwater photography (because I'm a cool person and like to scuba dive). Again, I photographed what I saw -- retirement ceremonies, high profile PR interactions with the civilian community in Hawaii, pictures of my loved ones, the occasional shark... you name it, I loved photographing it. But I especially loved photographing people.
I gave birth to my absolute favorite person ever in 2021, which landed me with lots of mom friends. And when I started photographing pictures of my friends' babies here in Palm Beach County, they urged me to take this to the next level. And hey - I like to give the people what they want. So, much to their relief, BK Photography was officially born. (Thanks besties!)
But here's what you really need to know about me: professionalism is drilled into me like Disney Mulan's sense of honor. My clients know from personal experience that I go above and beyond to ensure they have a phenomenal time working with me. I pride myself on clear, honest communication and meticulous quality control over my images. No blurry, low-resolution images here. No "I haven't heard from my photographer in weeks, what the heck." I treat you how I would want to be treated if I was going to hire me... and I have some pretty high standards.
My relationships with clients (like you, hopefully!) go beyond a business transaction. This is a two-way street and I'm not looking for a quick buck anymore than you're looking for a crappy photographer. Photography is a passion to me; it's my lifeblood. I find almost spiritual meaning in capturing the special memories of other people's lives because I'm a sentimental sap who still goes back and looks at all the pictures on her phone from eight years ago and I believe that other people actually do that too. My clients become friends that stay in touch, and I like to think that it's because I was able to provide meaningful art that freezes irreplaceable moments in time. Moments you can't go back to because people age and change.
So if that's the type of person you want behind the camera, I'm probably the person you'd enjoy working with.
